A friend once told me:
“I don’t know what happens to us that the things we want are the things that tear us down. I think it’s the way things are made out to be, and not our fault or the fact that we’re desillusional.”
She looked up, at the sky, paused for a moment and than continued:
“Because honestly, it just shouldn’t be like that. It shouldn’t. Doing important things shouldn’t be so painful. And so many people go through that. Just so many people. So you come to a point where you think: okay, it can’t be that everone is wrong. Maybe the way things are is wrong.”
I thinks she’s right.
